![]() ![]() This is imo the most bs attack the game has to offer because the animation is the same as their regular jump attack, but unlike them it doesn't wait for the enemy to actually hit you. ![]() They pin you to the ground and in this game, while grabbed or knocked down, everything else can hit you just fine. ![]() Not insta kills, but they might as well be. Originally posted by Squiddo:I never got caught in those grab attacks, what are they? Are they insta kills? Like I said, Gold Orbs, if you're gonna make penalty for people that want to cheese it by hard exits, and gonna put a number on that (I assume if you do it enough you lose the character or something?) then make an in-game mechanic with resources, that's my opinion tho', I still quite love this game, it just could use more work on some ideas, and some more content and side quests, heck, maybe even like, repeat tasks like those in destiny would be cool for grinding too honestly. I never got caught in those grab attacks, what are they? Are they insta kills? I can see how I can minimize the chance of dying with my playstyle, but the amount of farm it requires to do so, just to die randomly to a Hunchback Cyberdemon or, my personal favourite, the grab attack of the ball-shaped guys with the axes. I can't say I'm thrilled with the idea of nightmare on hardcore. If you are in combat you can't exit through the menu, the option is greyed out. Originally posted by Squiddo:Yeah power went out and I got an invalid too, but also, what if you just menu and quit? is that Invalid? I mean honestly it's a flawed concept but I get why it's there, but also if you don't have friends for Hardcore and you're doing it solo I also get why someone wouldn't want to lose their time forever, especially since there is bad rng and some not fun bosses with annoying spawns. It's different from like, Diablo and PoE where it's honestly kinda hard for you to die since you have big windows to heal or just run from combat back to safety. ![]() It's hardcore so yeah it's supposed to be the way it is, but there's a difference between hard and unfair or just a time waste, there's things here that can just insta kill you in a blink of an eye on a bad combo, like, if that first boss with the blowing spawns is a bit close to you when the blowing up guys decides to spawn on your back, he's gonna blow up and that boss is gonna do a follow up that's just gonna kill you. Maybe a sort of Gold Orb system? Like, arcade tokens that are as rare as Simulacrum that gives you a chance to go back to a crystal instead, or maybe make them super expensive to buy, cause I mean, if people really want to cheat they'd just gonna pop in a cheat engine anyway, which is doubling down on the cheat lifestyle and a step up from exploiting Alt + F4 if you ask me. Most of them are pretty easy to get, whilst others require extra steps. Rings, for example, are numerous, and yet there are still tons of them to sift through to power up your character.
